A journey where limits turn into new beginnings
A new place. A new landscape.
With a mix of excitement and nervousness in their hearts,
each child begins their journey in their own way.
For children who need daily medical care,
even such ordinary experiences can be difficult.
But with a little creativity and the right support,
travel can become something familiar and within reach.
That belief is where this project began.
A journey made possible by medical support—
but not merely a trip for treatment.
It becomes an adventure, rich with encounters and experiences,
that nurtures the strength to live.
This project was born from the meeting of two people:
a ryokan hostess who once grew up as a child needing medical care,
and a pediatrician who has long walked alongside such children.
United by the hope to expand their worlds through travel,
they took the first steps toward this challenge.
Doctors, nurses, pharmacists, therapists, psychologists,
and welfare professionals all work together
to create a safe and supportive travel experience.
But most important of all is this:
that the children themselves encounter others, play, laugh,
and feel something real on their journey.
Through participating year after year,
they slowly begin to do things they couldn’t before,
make friends, and gradually close the distance between themselves and society.
These small steps sometimes open up to unexpected and beautiful views.
We have witnessed such moments again and again.
